Latest Good News about the Denver Housing Market

Yes there are many foreclosures in the Denver metro area.  Many families are struggling financially. However the newspapers and other public media continue to paint the situation as being far worse than it really is.

1) in December 2008 the Denver MLS recorded $750,000,000 in residential real estate sales.

    That is 3/4 of a billion dollars.

        The equivalent of  750 one million dollar homes. 

            Or 3,500 average priced homes.

                 In what is traditionally the worst month of the year for sales!

2) Forbes magazine has listed Colorado as the #1 state for economic growth in 2008.

3) The PMI Group, Inc., a prestigious independent real estate organization, listed Colorado as one of the best real estate markets in the nation on January 16, 2008.
